The Community of Higher Education Research – Ukraine will hold an inaugural annual international conference: “Higher Education Reforms in Ukraine: Critical Issues in Legislative and Institutional Transformations”. The conference will be held in Kyiv on May 28-29, 2015 at a leading Ukrainian higher education institution: the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Community of Higher Education Research – Ukraine brings together higher education researchers exploring reforms, strategies and challenges in the Ukrainian universities and colleges.

About the Conference

The Community of Higher Education Research – Ukraine will hold an inaugural annual international conference “Higher Education Reforms in Ukraine: Critical Issues in Legislative and Institutional Transformations”. The conference will provide an opportunity for scholars and practitioners to discuss objectives, initiatives and challenges in reforming higher education in Ukraine, while examining the following key topics:

  • System-level policies in higher education
  • University governance and management innovations
  • Quality assurance
  • Academic research
  • Commercialization of scientific research, university-business linkages
  • Economic models, forms of financing, fundraising and sponsorship in higher education
  • Improving teaching and learning in higher education
  • Student experience and involvement of young talents in the innovation process
  • Globalization and internationalization of higher education

The conference will be held in Kyiv on May 28-29, 2015 at a leading Ukrainian higher education institution: the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The conference proceedings will be posted on the website Educational trends. Selected papers will be published in a special issue of a leading European journal in the field of higher education research, as well as in a national scholarly journal.

Registration

Those who wish to take part in the conference should submit a detailed abstract (up to 500 words, in English or Ukrainian) and register for the event before April 1, 2015. Please send the abstract, including the author’s full name and affiliated higher education institution, as well as the registration form via e-mail to: vsatsik@gmail.com (with the mark “Conference”).
